The Tampa Bay Regional Travel Surveys Program is a study of household demographics, daily travel activities, and typical travel patterns throughout the Tampa Bay region. This information is vital for regional and local planning agencies to understand the impact of growth, development, and other changes in the area's communities on the transportation system. Reliable transportation and viable travel options contribute to the region's quality of life and economic vitality, and this study will help agencies prioritize transportation improvements to best fit the region's needs.
The Household Travel Survey, University Student Travel Survey, and Seasonal Resident Travel Survey were conducted from October 2018 to April 2019. The Long Distance Travel Survey is currently underway and will conclude in June 2020.
This study is sponsored by the Florida Department of Transportation, District 7, in partnership with the transportation agencies in Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties.
